There is great potential for dental team members to be exposed to infectious diseases while treating patients. Spatter and aerosol present serious threats for respiratory infections. While OSHA requires the use of respiratory protection from these potential exposures, as well as exposure to hazardous chemicals, there seems to be a lack of clear understanding about the use of face masks. In this CE webinar, learn how to select the correct mask for each procedure, how to put on and take off the mask, why you should not re-use face masks and many other tips and tricks to enhanced respiratory protection.
Upon completion of this CE webinar, participants will be able to: • Describe the proper use of face masks for maximum respiratory protection • Identify the ASTM levels of face masks and how they apply to dental procedures • Demonstrate the appropriate way to put on and take off a face mask • Identify specific characteristics of face masks that are critical to face mask selection
